« Jews from Timisoara in other countries
My grandparents (Weisbein) emigrated from Romania to USA ca 1900. I believe they lived in Transylvania but I don’t know what city. Wondering if there are relatives surviving in Europe. I understand that the remaining Jews in Romania are very few in number. And I wonder about their prospects in a country where fascists still spew hatred on their websites.
Hi Gene, we have no hatred directed at our site.. that’s not to say there are no antisemites too 🙂
There are still some 7-10k Jews in Romania. Still, with just a surname and possibly a large location as origin, its hard for us to help trace anyone.
best regards from us here
