all,
As I hope some of
you remember, I was a JSC in Romania in 2000-2001. I came immediately after
Yosef Hirsh, and I worked to build on the national projects he started. I
worked to expand the work of the Pedagogical Center in Bucharest which
opened a few weeks before I arrived, continue Jewish Education Through the
Mail (JEM) and deepen OTER. I wanted to focus on working with you all to
develop your communities on your own, so I focused on things like
revitalizing Talmud Torah, developing the Siddur Kabalat Shabbat and Birkon
Shabbat, educational videos as well as working with OTERs to update their
computer clubs. I had a wonderful year, learned so much from my experience,
and made some wonderful friends. I hope you are all well. Feel free to
write, I'd love to hear from you! |
